I am attracted to skin tones in shade, now, learning how to keep flesh alive, yet cool and shadowed. I loved the grace of the pose, the quiet thoughtfulness, her vulnerability where men will often see nothing more than allure. Is she thinking of when her child, grown and gone, was a babe? The loss of a dear one? The lover who has just left her bed? We cannot know, just watching. We never know, no matter what we think. She is too deep and rich, too precious to comprehend.
