The Big Apple Series No. 12
30 x 15"
Watercolor with Ink & Acrylic on Saunders Waterford 140# Rough
I really didn't remember how I felt when I saw a total eclipse of the sun at about age six, so the awe, the spiritual beauty, and yes the fear was unexpected as darkness fell across our shoulders out in our back yard last fall. The whole world went silent. And yet, there was hope and a feeling of oneness-in-the-world -and-nature.
So no surprise that the Apples had to weigh in, eh? This one wanted to be painted so badly that it refused to wait to be planned. This usually means extra effort, but it was worth it.
